Originally from Montreal, Canada, I knew I wanted to work with non-profits at a young age. Along with cheering on the Montreal Expos and Montreal Canadiens, I spent my childhood volunteering for various B’nai Brith projects and getting involved with the B’nai Brith Youth Organization where I held many leadership positions including chapter president and regional president.
In 1995, I was in university when I took a leap of faith by chatting with someone on Inter Relay Chat or IRC for short (IRC was and still is a text based chat software that many college students used.) This leap of faith ultimately led me to move to Dallas, Texas where five years later, I married my wife Beth.
I worked at a variety of for-profits and non-profits including a nine year run as a part time youth director at my synagogue where our chapter won numerous regional and international awards including regional chapter of the year four times and international chapter of the year once. After living in Dallas for 12 years, my job at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum allowed me to transfer to the Washington, DC area where I have lived for the last 8 years.
I currently work for an organization called ImpactIsrael where I am the Manager of Database and Administration. I bring over 20 years of experience working with nonprofits specializing in donor database management and design, donor research, event management and an awesome sense of humor. When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, working on jigsaw puzzles, and cheering on my favorite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens.
